There's a craft behind creating beautiful wedding photography. I use a creative blend of light, shallow depth of field & pastel tones to achieve my style. I'm influenced by fine art & vintage styles, which impacts how I edit my work. I believe wedding photography should be captured in a natural & authentic way, documenting the story of the day.
Being a documentary style photographer, I like to capture the smaller details… the best man laughing at a joke, the anxious groom waiting at the top of the aisle, the mother of the bride overcome with emotions during the ceremony... anything which tells your story - I capture it. I enjoy setting up group shots and portrait style poses, but most of all, I just love to capture people, how we are naturally & in the moment.
Some moments seem so ordinary at the time, yet when you look back you realise they were actually extraordinary. I think we take moments like that for granted, and photo’s remind us of those times we so easily forget.
"Not only did you capture the atmosphere of the day and the joy in everyone's faces (which you managed without forced photographs and going unnoticed) but you managed to get a huge amount of beautifully romantic photos of us - something neither of us (or a number of the guests) would have thought possible"... Janine & Liad, July 2016
On your wedding day, I’ll work in an unobtrusive way, documenting the day as it unfolds. For most of the day, I’ll blend in with your guests, except for when I need to arrange the formal/portrait group style shots. I tend to use natural light as much as possible, especially during intimate moments, like the ceremony, to avoid any unnecessary distraction.
I spend about about 20 minutes arranging the formal type group shots, and then another 20 minutes with the bride & groom, using gentle direction to capture their portrait shots, the rest of the day you won't know I'm there... but I won't miss a thing either.
After the event, I promise delivery of your memory box within 6 - 8 weeks. This gives me time to carefully edit each image. I am meticulous about the final outcome and I spend a lot of time editing, making them perfect.
