Crondon Park Wedding

I’m back with the first blog post of the year and I’m hoping to bring a smile to your faces with Kirstyn and Jonnie’s ridiculously beautiful wedding day. With just 30 guests, the couple has to move their reception venue at the last minute to comply with updated covid restrictions. They hosted the bridal preparations and ceremony at Crondon Park. Recently awarded ‘Best Countryside Wedding Venue in Britain’, this stunning setting in Essex boasts original oak beams, sparkling chandeliers, a rich history and oodles of rustic charm. For their reception, Kirstyn and Jonnie headed to the Swan Inn, where we had the opportunity to capture some gorgeous portraits by the viaduct.

The morning of the wedding was beautifully calm, with Kirstyn, her mum and bridesmaids enjoying the excitement with glasses of bubbles and plenty of laughter. Michelle of Bumblebee Bridal made sure everyone was aisle-ready, opting for a natural make-up look for Kirstyn and her best girls. With bridesmaids in blush pink gowns, ivory blooms by Stock Florist and fairy lights galore, the theme of their wedding was rustic-meets-romance.

The ceremony in the Baronial Hall was a beautiful English ceremony. The beams were entwined with twinkling lights, handtied bunches of gypsophilia were tied to the chairs and floral arrangements added the wow factor. Jonnie was feeling nervous as he waited for his bride – who looked utterly stunning! Despite only having a handful of their original guest list, the ceremony was one to remember and full of emotion. It’s moments like this that remind me how much I love capturing love stories!

After the ceremony, Kirstyn and Jonnie had some photos taken, and then they enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast. They headed to The Swan Inn with their guests for the reception. Their families surprised them with a luxury car to transport them to the venue and it went down an absolute treat with the newlyweds. Surrounded by idyllic countryside with the striking viaduct as the backdrop, this cosy yet stylish pub really was the perfect place to wine, dine and celebrate with their favourite people. The viaduct was a photographer’s dream and we captured some truly beautiful shots of the new Mr & Mrs.

We’ve had a look through the photos and the look amazing! It made us feel like we were there all over again, we can’t wait to show our friends and family.

These guys partied hard, making the most of the epic celebrations! After their first dance, the rest of the guests joined in, dancing around the bride and fluffing her dress up and down in time with the music. Kirstyn rocked a leather jacket towards the end of evening, adding a modern edge to her bridal attire. The jacket detailed her original wedding date and she looked AMAZING!

5 minutes after sunset we managed to sneak a last minute portrait inside the viaduct! I had to jump for this shot…

It was an absolute pleasure to capture Kirstyn & Jonnie’s wedding and it brings me so much joy to look back at their photographs and at what was a truly special day. Their celebration took place after the first lockdown and it was so significant to photograph families coming together and spending dancing, laughing and loving – something that was once so normal.
