Amalia & Joe's wedding at The Coach House, Marks Hall

“Thank you so much! We’ve just had a look through our photos and wow! They are so beautiful, we couldn’t stop smiling as we scrolled through them; they capture our day perfectly, thank you so much. We can’t wait to share these photos with our family and friends.” Amalia, The Bride

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Amalia and Joe, who tied the knot in a beautiful autumnal celebration on 17 th October 2021. This gorgeous pair tied the knot at Coach House, Marks Hall, surrounded by over 2,000 acres of picturesque Essex countryside. They were spoilt with romantic woodland, ancient trees and a charming setting to say, ‘I Do’.

Amalia and Joe made the most of the clear weather, opting for an outdoor celebrant-led ceremony where they exchanged their vows under the venue’s wooden gazebo. Their bridesmaids look exquisite in an array of autumnal hues, with the ladies wearing a selection of jewel toned gowns included mustard and rust orange. They carried beautiful seasonal bouquets by The Baked Stem Boutique and Décor Effective, finished with dried florals that worked perfectly with their colour scheme. The groom looked dapper in a rustic woollen suit that was a great fit for the time of year.

“What we enjoyed most about our wedding day was being in the beautiful grounds of the venue having our photos taken as just the two of us. Wandering around, laughing, holding each other, all while getting my dress a bit muddy, was so much fun and so intimate. The whole day was unforgettable but those moments we spent together in the beautiful scenery felt like a little heaven on earth.”

The newlyweds moved into the intimate 18 th Century Coach House for their wedding breakfast and reception. It overlooks the Arboretum and lakes and is renowned for its historic red brick and wooden beams. As a UK wedding photographer, I love capturing their group shots and couple portraits, but I also adore snapping the smaller details and styling – so much time and consideration has often gone into creating them! Amalia and Joe’s wedding day was brimming with thoughtful details that really helped to tie the special day together. For their guest tables, they created autumn-meets-rustic centrepieces, with wooden tree slices, moss, toad stalls and illustrated table numbers. Twinkling fairy lights were the perfect backdrop for their top table, adding to the autumnal ambience!

Coggeshall Catering Company were on hand with the most delicious grazing table for friends and family to tuck into, creating a fun and informal vibe for the afternoon. Their EPIC cheese cake was whipped up by the team at The West Country Cheese Co and it went down an absolute treat with their guests.

A huge thank you to the new Mr and Mrs for letting me be a part of your special day!
